What Do I Want To Do Today? Remember Ray Bradbury

I’m sure most of you have heard that Ray Bradbury recently passed away.

If you haven’t… well… Ray Bradbury recently passed away.

So tonight, after I’m finished with my work and after kickball (I joined a team) I’m going to curl up with one of his books (not sure which one yet) and just enjoy.

One little thing before I go:

“Don’t ask for guarantees. And don’t look to be saved in any one thing, person, machine, or library. Do your own bit of saving, and if you drown, at least die knowing you were headed for shore.”

-Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451

I had heard this quote from a friend of mine, when we were in high school, just as I was starting Fahrenheit 451. I’ve never forgotten it nor have I ever forgotten the power that book had over me. What an amazing man Bradbury was.

Do you have a favorite Bradbury novel/short story/etc..?  I’d love to know.

    • It’s great. Let me know if you want to borrow it. Also, it will make Andy’s costume at his 30th birthday party make waaaaay more sense.
