What Do I Want To Do Today? Make A Baby… Shower Invitation

Ha ha.

Don’t jump to conclusions there, hoss.  It’s not my baby and it’s not my shower.

Goodness knows I’m not ready for that noise.

Because everyone knows this is pretty much all I’d know to do with a kid.

A little while back, I posted the photos of the gender reveal party invites I made, and the subsequent gender reveal party I threw.

Now seeherknit and I are throwing a baby shower for that same friend.

I just sent off the invitations so I thought I’d share them with you.

The invites were all designed and handmade by me.  I had trouble finding the perfect invitation template so I designed my own based on the idea of several templates (I used Paint and Publisher cause this chick doesn’t have Photoshop).  Since the invitations were larger than a standard library card insert, I couldn’t use standard library card pockets.  So I made my own and attached them to green cardstock.  I lined the envelopes with dictionary pages and I also printed sticker bookplates for guests to put into whatever baby book they want to give to the baby (we’re having a book-themed baby shower).  Lastly, the theme of the baby’s nursery is Dr. Who, so I did a slight nod to that in the color of the envelopes, using a myriad of mailing stamps, and addressing the invites with a silver pen (not shown).

Enough details, I’ll let the pics speak for themselves.
